On 12 October 2019, Mr. Bunchong Chumnongsittathum, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries and executives and senior officials of the Department of Fisheries, attended the meeting as follows:
(1) Preparatory Senior Officials Meeting of the 41st Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry, PREPSOM-41ST AMAF
(2) the Senior Officials' Meeting of the 19th Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers' on Agriculture and Forestry and The Ministers of Agriculture of The People's Republic of China, Japan and The Republic of Korea, SOM-19th AMAF Plus Three
(3) the Senior Officials' Meeting of the 5th ASEAN-India Ministerial Meeting in Agriculture and Forestry, SOM-5th AIMMAF
(4) the 41st Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers' on Agriculture and Forestry, AMAF

The meeting was held at The Empire Hotel & Country Club, Jerudong, Brunei by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Brunei Darussalam, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.

In this meeting, the Department of Fisheries will report the progress on the establishment of the ASEAN Network for Combating IUU Fishing (AN-IUU)  and request approval on a Draft of concept proposal for the Establishment of ASEAN Network for Combating IUU Fishing (AN-IUU). To drive such a network to proceed quickly and achieve its objectives and goals while acting as the ASEAN Chairmanship of Thailand.

Moreover, the Department of Fisheries, as a responsible agency, will report to the meeting about preparation for hosting The second meeting for the Establishment of AN-IUU, which will be held between 12-13 December 2019 in Thailand.
