On 1 November 2019 at 10.00 a.m., at the meeting room of the Fish Inspection and Quality Control Division, Department of Fisheries  Mr. Vicharn Ingsrisawang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, he expressed appreciation and listened to suggestions from the National Fishery Products Quality Management Service (NFDS) staff, who visited and inspected Thailand's  seafood processing factory during October 28 - 31, 2019. According to the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on "Quality Control and Hygiene Safety of Import and Export Fish and Fishery Products" between Thailand and the Republic of Korea since 2006.

The Republic of Korea is a market that has the potential to produce high-quality aquatic products and wants to import great quality products. Therefore, Thai business operators need to develop and improve the production process from the farm level to the products in strict accordance with the requirements of the Republic of Korea. Besides the development of aquatic animal production potential for Thai business operators, it also increases the opportunity to export fishery products to that country.
