On 31 October 2019, Mr. Bunchong Chumnongsittathum, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, led the delegation of the Directorate of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development from the Republic of Vietnam, which led by  Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Fisheries.

To visit the operation of the Port-in Port-out (PIPO) Center at the Phuket Fish Marketing Organisation’s pier. In this regard, the  PIPO staff have demonstrated procedures for verifying relevant documents.  Inspection of fishing crew documents, Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) signs, and vessel identity. Also, they described the structure, mission, responsibility, and operation procedures of the Port-in Port-out (PIPO) Center to the Vietnamese delegation.

Furthermore, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, also visited Phuket Fisheries Provincial Office and Mueang Phuket Fisheries District Office.
