Paying a courtesy call to strengthen the cooperation and a good partnership between FAO and Thailand as well as praised and appreciated on Thailand's combating IUU Fishing

On 9 October 2019, the delegation from FAO paid a courtesy call on Mr. Alongkorn Ponlabut, advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, which he was delegated by Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, to be the representative on this occasion. To strengthen the cooperation and a good partnership between FAO and Thailand as well as praised and appreciated on Thailand's combating IUU Fishing, including the Soil conservation project supported by FAO on World Soil Day.

The delegation of FAO consists of  (1) Mrs. Kundhavi Kadirensan, Assistant Vice President of FAO (2) the Representative for Asia and the Pacific (3) Mr. Kim Jong Jin, Deputy Representative of FAO Office for Asia and the Pacific (4) and Mrs. Nawarat Chalermphao, Project Assistant, FAO representative in Thailand. 

Besides, there are the representatives from agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, including Mr. Phisan Pongsapich, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Mr. Raphiphat Chantarasrivong, Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics, and Mr. Banjong Chamnongsittham, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Fisheries.
