Policies

                The Department Of Fisheries, in realising the importance of quality and safety of
fish and fishery products exported from Thailand, has set policies to :          
                ๐ Improve quality of fish as raw material through research development work on 
fish handling and transportation
                ๐ Provide reasonable assurance that fish used as raw material are free from 
chemical contaminants, environmental contaminants and toxins through frequent monitoring
programs for level of those contaminants.
                ๐ Apply preventive measures in fish inspection by implementing quality
management programs base on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principle.
                ๐ Emphasise plant and process inspection as a tool to control and assure quality,
safety and standard of products.
                ๐ Provide certificates to the approved processors who process products of
good quality, safe and meet requirement of importing countries.
                ๐ The Department will not knowingly permit the export of product that violates
the laws of an importing country.
                ๐ Achieve and maintain a high standard of quality in all aspects of laboratory
analyses and filed inspection.
