Thai Fish Project joined a Reception to Celebrate the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan hosted by the Embassy of Japan

On February 7 2024, Thai Fish Project joined a Reception to Celebrate the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan hosted by the Embassy of Japan. In this occasion, we would like to specially thank Nippon Tei Sato Co., Ltd. (Nippon tei Group) who kindly offered to use our Project’s cultured Asian seabass to make the sashimi served in the event.

Thanks to the professionalism of the managers, chefs and staff, of 1,800 invited guests, a large number of them were attracted to the Nippontei Group’s booth. Hundreds of plates were served, and guests got to taste our DHA-enriched Asian seabass (Group 3-1’s Output). Upon sharing our project activities, we also received positive feedback on its taste!

Lastly, we would like to thank all those involved in the preparation of the seabass—including the Phuket Coastal Aquaculture Research and Development Regional Center (ศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาการเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำชายฝั่งภูเก็ต) for having cultured and feeding the fish to make them DHA enriched; Boonsawang farm (Suthi Mahalao) for using their know-how to ikejime, ferment, and properly transport the fish; and the Fisheries Industrial Technology Research and Development Division for carrying out a parasite inspection—ensuring that our Asian seabass is both safe and tasty!
