On 16 February 2021 at the Department of Fisheries (DOF), Mr.Evan W.Fox, Economic officer, and Ms.Vararat Khemangkorn, Economic Specialist from Embassy of the United States of America paid the courtesy call on Mr. Taworn Thunjai, Deputy - Director-General. Both sides exchanged information and experience of the Department of Fisheries in combating IUU Fishing and the preparedness for compliance with the USA Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA). To ensure full conformity to the laws and regulations concerned, DOF requested the Embassy to help coordinate with the US agencies in charge for further discussion on technical cooperation and exchanging of experience.
