From June 5 to 7, 2024, at the Department of Fisheries, Mr. Buncha Sukkaew, Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, was entrusted by the Cabinet as the Head of the Thai Delegation to lead discussions during the 7th Meeting of the Royal Thai Government and European Commission (DG MARE) Working Group on Combating Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing. The meeting included representatives from the Department of European Affairs, the Office of the Council of State, the Marine Department, Thai-MECC, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, and the Office of the Attorney General. The EU Commission was led by Mr. Roberto Cesari, Head of the EU Unit working on IUU fishing in DG MARE.
